Report

This is an example of a report. It needs to be objective and informative. The opinion should not be given

Report
Use of money for school improvements

Introduction
The aim of this report is to compare the advantages of additional computers and of improving the library. Also to suggest which of these
would be best. I interviewed a number of students to find out their views.

Buying more computers
Some of the students thought that this was a good idea, saying computers were useful for:
 Practicing writing
 Using the internet
 Playing games
However, other students said that they preferred to use their own computer at home.

Improving the library
Most of the students preferred this suggestion, giving the following reasons:
 Many students do not have a quiet place to study at home. The library would be a good place for private study, but at present
there are not enough tables and desks there.
 They feel that up-to-date dictionaries and books are needed

Recommendations
Both ideas have benefits, but the majority of students feel that improving the library would be more useful. I would therefore recommend
this.

STRUCTURE
An introduction in which the reason of writing is stated.
A main body: with headed sections. It is essential to choose appropriate section
headings in order to answer the question properly.
A conclusion in which you restate the main points and state your opinion.

You need: title and headings (introduction, topic 1 and topic 2, and recommendations or summary or solution)
